The Met Costume Institute Gala is one of the biggest fashion events of the year. The Gala is organized by the one and only, Anna Wintour, Vogue’s Editior and Cheif. Joining the Queen Bee of Fashion in hosting was Oprah Winfrey and Patrick Robinson ( Creative Director for The Gap). Every year there is a theme to the exhibit and this year was all about “American Women.” The exhibit includes 75 outfits designed by high fashion designers including Coco Chanel, Jeanne Lanvin, and many more. I can’t wait to take a trip down to Manhattan and see this exhibit! I look forward to it every year!
Here are a few of my favorite look’s from the red carpet:
Clockwise: Katy Perry in CuteCircut and Lorraine Schwartz jewels; Anna Wntour in Chanel (Of course!); Nicole Richie in Marc Jacobs; Zoe Saldana in Calvin Klein; Chloe Sevigny in Proenza Schouler; Alexa Chung in 3.1 Phillip Lim; Gisele and Tom Brady both in Alexander Wang (Love him!); and last but not least, Rachel Zoe in Marc Jacobs.
